• 1. What are you hours of operation? 

We will be open Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend for the season. 

9am-6pm

• 2. Are reservations needed?

Yes, reservations are required, especially on holiday weekends. We deliver rental based on reservations. 

Call or go online for reservations. It will save you a 1 to 3 hours wait.

• 3. Is payment due in advance for reservations?

Not at the present time.

Sorry, no out of state checks.

Deposit may be required for large groups.

• 4. Where do we start the day trip?

Meet at one of our launch points on the Chipola River:

Peacocks Bridge:  kayaks or canoes

Johnny Boy Landing:  tubes, rafts, kayaks or canoes

Willis Bridge: tubes, rafts, kayaks or canoes

Lamb Eddy Landing:  kayaks or canoes

Hwy 20 Bridge takeout

We will load equipment onto our trailer and shuttle drivers back up the river to your vehicle.

• 5.  What times do you run trips?

We shuttle on the hour from 9am to 3pm unless prior arrangements have been made, and from 9am to 6pm for pick ups.

• Safety is our number one concern at Chipola River Outfitters.

• Whether you are tubing or canoeing we want everyone to have a fun and enjoyable time, but we also want everyone to have a safe adventure.

For this reason the following guidelines are in place.

1. No more than two adults in a canoe.

2. Small children will not be allowed in canoes or kayaks without wearing a flotation vest. State law is mandatory that children 6 years old and younger wear a vest.

3.  Due to fluctuating river conditions we reserve the right to refuse rentals at any time we deem unsafe.

4.  We will refuse rental due to intoxication or disorderly conduct of any member of the rental group.

5. It is prohibited to drink alcohol at any boat landing in the county.

6. If you drink alcohol on the river, you better be of age.

7. Any report of intoxication, disorderly conduct, nudity, excessive noise, foul language or any other disrespectful behavior may result in the refusal of future rental.

8. It is your responsibility to always respect private docks and property and to be courteous and respectful of all other river users.

9. Keep your trash with you, bag it and throw it in a trash can at your pick up point. 9. Safety is our main concern, please ensure your group understands the dangers of jumping off trees and swinging into shallow water. Be sure to always check water depth before entry, what looks deep from above is often only a few feet in depth and may contain hidden sharp rocky limestone below.
